The Inauguration of the Born Cultural Center

The new Born Cultural center was inaugurated with a spectacular evocation of the Born neighborhood's history during the early 18th century in the times of the Spanish War of Succession.

The center has opened its doors with two magnificent expositions that transport spectators to the 1700s; "Barcelona 1700.  The people from these stones" and "Until it is taken!  The siege of 1714".

The archaeological site that's encountered on the main floor permits visitors to walk on foot through the same streets that General Villarroel lead his Barcelona troops through in the final counterattack of September 11, 1714 before he was wounded.

The Born Cultural center is an indispensable site to understand the history of the Born neighborhood.
